Donna Shirley, manager of the Mars Exploration Directorate, made a presentation and judged a Mars rover building contest recently as part of the ScienceAlliance program in the Hermosa Beach City School District.

Members of the public and children from local schools participated in an evening of Mars discovery and education. Students presented models of Mars rovers for judging to Shirley, and she in turn updated the excited audience with the latest news from JPL's current and future Mars missions.
