Bill Nye and Debbie Allen
See educators, students and special hosts, Emmy Award-winners Bill Nye, The Science Guy, and Debbie Allen as they explore different aspects of what a community might be like on Mars during this interactive Web cast.

See Bill Nye as he visits with the three in-house Imagine Mars Project teams. Joined by JPL scientists, related professionals and ArtsBridge Scholars from UC Irvine, Bill discusses with the student participants community elements of their imagined Mars projects.

Visit one team's domed-community and hear what buildings they chose to include within it. Watch as another team performs a public service announcement created to raise awareness on the importance of conserving water on Mars. Last, but not least, explore the foods our final team selected - and didn't select - to take on a journey to Mars.

Choreographer, Debbie Allen, leads dancers and scientists
Then follow along as renowned choreographer, Debbie Allen, leads dancers and scientists through an exploration of how the environment of Mars would affect dance and movement. You won't want to miss the special dance performed by members of the Debbie Allen Dance Academy.

"The artist, scientist and expert project leaders for this event really challenged and inspired these young participants to stretch their imaginations, learn about Mars, and create some incredible projects," says Stephenie Lievense, Imagine Mars lead coordinator for the Mars Exploration Program, NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. "The students approached their missions with enthusiasm and were so proud of their creations. It was very exciting to watch these young people share their thoughts about their own communities, and then explore ideas about what a futuristic community might be like on Mars some day."
