Mars Exploration (General)

As a graduate student, I became involved in studying possible analogs for Martian surface materials. Specifically, I was looking at basaltic ashes and tuffs produced by the interactions of magma with surface or near surface water and was examining their reflectance properties in the visible and near infrared.

In recent years, I have been involved with several Mars Data Analysis Program investigations. These have included an examination of the Martian polar regions using Mars Global Surveyor data, a re-analysis of Imager for Mars Pathfinder data, and an examination of potential hydrovolcanic landforms on the northern plains of Mars.

Mars Exploration Rover Mission

I am a member of the science team on the Mars Exploration Rover mission.
