I try to explore Mars by studying Martian meteorites. My experiments on meteorite ALH84001 found “signatures of ancient Martian atmosphere”(formed 4.5 billion years ago on Mars). My passion for Mars exploration led me to derive the nitrogen isotopic signature of the Martian mantle, which has interesting implications for the “precursors." Based on my results, I developed a cosmochemical model for Mars. My recent research activities include the identification of Martian meteorites from the terrestrial deserts (hot and cold) and understanding the volatile processes on Mars.
