What are your dreams for the future of exploration?

Mars sample return missions

When you were in elementary school, what did you want to be when you grew up?

astronaut or scientist

Why do you think Mars Exploration is important?

Mars is the most Earth-like planet, so its study offers an opportunity to learn more about what our own world might have been like under slightly different environmental conditions.

Describe the human side of robotic exploration.

Orbiting spacecraft and rovers can never be left on their own - too many unexpected things happen. Science-directed exploration requires humans to make constant decisions and changes in the way instruments operate. The challenge is also a great deal of fun.
