What advice can you offer to young scientists or engineers?

Find something you love to do. When you are truly interested in your subject, it is easy to stay involved and keep yourself enthusiastic. If you are not interested, it is much harder to force involvement and enthusiasm. Have fun with what you do, it makes all the difference.

What are your personal goals for the future?

I hope to be a productive member of the Athena Science Team and complete my BS in Geological Sciences. I also hope to enroll in a planetary geology doctoral program. I hope to continue my involvement in robotic missions to Mars and be a productive member of the science community. This is a great time to become involved with Mars, and I hope to take full advantage of the opportunities that have been given to me.

Do you have any hobbies?

I like to play music in my free time. I play bass guitar in a rock band. It is a great way to relax and let my mind go. Music is my escape.
