Background Information
My graduate training was in plasma physics and then electrical engineering, where I specialized in electromagnetics, microwaves & optics, and antennas. After my PhD I worked as an "Applied Physicist" for an instrument design lab, then for 5.5 years at SPAR areospace in Montreal, where I worked on such projects as MSAT and Radarsat. I went to Hughes in 1994, where I stayed for 6 years working other commercial satellite projects, in particular ICO and Thuraya. I have done antenna and systems design and analysis, as well as subsystem and spacecraft testing. Since joining JPL in 2000 I have worked Mars missions, primarily MER.

Contributions to Mars Exploration

Performed analysis for X-Band and UHF telecom systems. Worked mechanical and electrical design issues for telecom subsystems on MER. Took on UHF CogE responsibilities; supplier technical and contract [more contributions ...]
