Background Information
I grew up in Colorado where I did both my undergraduate and graduate degrees. For a few years between the B.S. and Ph.D. I worked for Ball Aerospace in Boulder, CO, which was really the start of my “space” career. After getting my Ph.D. I spent a year in Germany on a fellowship. I then spent 7 years in Flagstaff, AZ working for the United States Geological Society (USGS) Astrogeology Team before moving to University of Nevada at Reno (UNR) in January of 2000. I was married while in Boulder, divorced for many years, and am now engaged. We plan to get married this fall. We have 2 cats.

Contributions to Mars Exploration

The Mars Color Imager (MARCI) camera that was lost on Mars Climate Orbiter (MCO) will refly (in part) on the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO). I am a Co-Investigator for the camera specializing in polar processes and surface mineral alteration. [more contributions ...]
