Background Information
I grew up in the relatively small town of Tooele, UT, where most people had local dreams and aspirations. I knew I wanted to be in the space industry since I was a very small child, and therefore pursued degrees in mechanical engineering with an emphasis in aerospace engineering, earning both a B.S. and an M.S. from Utah State University. Since my last graduation in 1999, I have been employed at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, working on various Mars missions, which is a dream come true!

Contributions to Mars Exploration

On a multi-mission level, I have been intimately involved in designing the strategies for coordinating relay opportunities between the six spacecraft that are expected to be at Mars in late '03 and early '04. [more contributions ...]
Personal Reflections

Study, study, study. Take the hard classes. If you don't know it, that's fine -- but ask to find out! Nerds are only sorry to be nerds when they're young, for as they get older, they find they get to do the really "cool" things. [more personal reflections ...]
