Background Information
My main research areas - when it comes to Mars - are geomorphology (primarily gullies, as well as Valles Marineris and its associated chaotic terrains) and spectroscopy. I have also done work in astronomy on blue stragglers in the old, metal-rich cluster NGC 6791, clusters in M31 (the Andromeda Galaxy), and on the recurrent novae T Coronae B and RS Ophiuchi.

Contributions to Mars Exploration

I am on the science operations team for the Context Camera (CTX) and the Mars Color Imager (MARCI) aboard MRO. My main duties are to target CTX, choosing what it takes pictures of in a given week, and then analyzing those images when they come down from the spacecraft from a photogeologist’s standpoint.
