This map is periodically updated by the mission team as Curiosity drives on its way to the base of Mount Sharp.
Curiosity Rover's Location for Sol 2449
This map shows the route driven by NASA's Mars rover Curiosity through the 2449 Martian day, or sol, of the rover's mission on Mars (June 27, 2019).
Numbering of the dots along the line indicate the sol number of each drive. North is up. From Sol 2448 to Sol 2449, Curiosity had driven a straight line distance of about 32.70 feet (9.97 meters). Since touching down in Bradbury Landing in August 2012, Curiosity has driven 12.97 miles (20.88 kilometers).
The base image from the map is from the High Resolution Imaging Science Experiment Camera (HiRISE) in NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter.
